Because of how this entire industry is ran and funded by literal children, this has caused massive ripple effects in supply chains. Your computing is now more expensive, but the billionaires like it that way because it allows them to engage in their favorite thing: the rent economy.
As this bubble grows ever larger, we help foot the bill for these massive worthless data centers that are ruining entire communities. Consent among big tech isn't real and your politicians are so stupid and so bought in that they fall for any kind of "deal" hook, line, and sinker.
